After completing a business degree from Monmouth University Jeff Zamek obtained B.F.A./M.F.A. degrees in ceramics from Alfred University, College of Ceramics, NY. and went on to teach at Simon’s Rock College and Keane College while also working as a professional potter. In 1980 he started Ceramics Consulting Services,  developing clay body and glaze formulas for industry and advising ceramics supply companies, ceramics factories, and other businesses using ceramic raw materials throughout the United States. He has written extensively on technical issues and is a regular contributor to Ceramics Monthly, Pottery Making Illustrated, Pottery Production Practices, Clay Times, Studio Potter, Ceramics Technical, and Craft Horizons. His books include The Potter’s Studio Clay & Glaze Handbook, What Every Potter Should Know, and Safety in the Ceramics Studio. Zamek has over 40 years experience in the field of ceramics and is a member of The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA).
 
Jeff Zamek is available to perform investigations and provide testimony in depositions and serve as an expert witness in litigation. Zamek's associate, Dr. Anne Bures, with over thirty years experience as an internist, is available to evaluate medical depositions and reports.
